From major international conferences to small private meetings, we have the interpreting service to suit your needs anywhere in the world. Since 2010, Prime Production has been regularly providing simultaneous, consecutive and whispered interpreting, and equipment services to the United Nations during General Assembly week, at side events and many of their Sustainable Development Goals conferences. These conferences may include Heads of State, diplomats and other stakeholders. We also provide identical services for United Nations agencies at locations across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, and for clients holding their board and annual meetings across all continents.
Providing interpreting services can be a complex process.
That’s why we take care of all the logistical and technical details:
All our interpreters are thoroughly vetted, and our services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Remote interpreting involves providing real-time translation services over the phone or through video conferencing platforms, allowing interpreters to work from any location. It’s widely used in legal, medical, business, and educational settings.
How it works:
1. Setup and Technology:
- Video Platforms: Many use platforms like Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams.
- Audio-Only Solutions: For phone interpreting, a three-way call is commonly used.
- Equipment: The interpreter needs a reliable internet connection, a computer or mobile device with a webcam (for video interpreting), and a quality headset or microphone.
2. Interpreter’s Role:
- The interpreter listens to one party, translates what they say into the target language, and then translates the response back into the original language. This can be done consecutively (after each speaker finishes) or simultaneously (in real-time while the speaker is talking).
3. Process Flow:
- Step 1: The client schedules the session or connects through a platform.
- Step 2: The interpreter joins the session at the designated time.
- Step 3: The conversation proceeds, with the interpreter facilitating communication.
- Step 4: After the session, we may offer recordings or transcripts, depending on the requirements.
4. Industries Using Remote Interpreting:
- Healthcare: For doctor-patient communication, especially with non-English-speaking patients.
- Legal: Court cases, depositions, and client meetings.
- Business: International meetings, negotiations, or customer support.
- Education: Remote classes or parent-teacher meetings.
Simultaneous interpreting involves an interpreter listening to a speaker in one language and immediately translating the speech into another language in real time. This is done without the speaker pausing, so the translation occurs simultaneously as the speech continues.
How it works:
- Speaker talks continuously:
- The speaker delivers their speech or presentation without pausing for translation.
- Interpreter listens:
- The interpreter, often positioned in a soundproof booth or room, listens to the speaker via headphones. They must grasp the meaning and context of the message quickly.
- Immediate translation:
- The interpreter translates the speech into the target language almost simultaneously, usually with a delay of only a few seconds.
- Audience listens in real time:
- The translated speech is transmitted to the audience through headsets or speakers, allowing them to follow the talk in their preferred language as the event progresses without interruption.
Consecutive translation services, ensure clear and accurate communication in real time. Our experienced interpreters provide seamless translation during pauses in the speaker’s dialogue, ideal for meetings, conferences, and one-on-one settings. With a focus on precision and cultural nuance, we facilitate effective communication without the need for specialized equipment.
How it works:
- The speaker speaks for a few sentences or for a set period (e.g., 1–5 minutes).
- The interpreter listens and takes notes during the speech.
- When the speaker pauses, the interpreter provides the translation in the target language.
- The cycle repeats until the communication is completed
