Q.
How much do you charge for translations?
A.
We charge based on the word count of the source file. Prices are available upon request. We are happy to provide you with a quote and await your approval before commencing with any translation.
Q.
How much notice do you need for booking an interpreter?
A.
We can provide interpreters at very short notice, including where available, within the hour. For telephone interpreters, we aim to connect you to a telephone interpreter within 60 seconds. If you require a BSL interpreter, a two week notice period is required, though for emergency situations, these can be provided within 24 hours.
Q.
I would like to use the same interpreter I have previously used. Is this possible?
A.
Yes, we are happy for you to request a specific interpreter and will book them subject to availability. Prime Production understands the need for continuity to benefit the client, especially in sensitive situations.
Q.
If I send you a document to be translated, how long does it take to be returned?
A.
Due to our extensive experience, we are able to return documents of any length within a given deadline. Our linguists have a capacity of around 2,500 words per day depending on the technicality of the content. For documents of substantial length, we are very adept at forming teams across the globe to ensure your deadline is met.
Q.
What is the cancellation policy for face to face interpreters?
A.
We require 24 hours notice for cancellations (not including weekends or bank holidays). If you give us more than 24 hours notice, we will not charge for the booking. All cancellations within 24 hours incur a charge.
Q.
What quality assurance procedures do you have in place to ensure translations are accurate and of high quality?
A.
All documents are translated by native speakers of the target language and have extensive knowledge of the relevant subject area. Before submission, documents are revised by a second native speaker to ensure translations are accurate and of high quality. Prime Production has strict criteria with regards to the linguists it employs; they must present evidence documenting at least 5 years experience as a translator or 7 years as a reviser. In addition, they must be a member of an accredited national body of linguistics and must complete a probationary period with Prime Production under the tutelage of an established linguist.
